Specific responsibilities

Reporting to the Personal Lines Underwriting Manager, the Junior Underwriter is responsible for assisting and supporting the needs of the Personal Lines Underwriting staff.  They will process Auto and Residential Renewals and Policy Changes. They will also provide back up for our Underwriting Assistants and perform other related tasks when requested. 

Contract position : 8 months

Education and Work Experience

In order to meet the requirements of this position, the candidate should have their post secondary degree/diploma and preferably, previous office and/or insurance experience. The candidate should be recognized for their strong attention to detail and accuracy, along with excellent MS Office (Word, Excel, Access) and keyboarding skills. 

Qualities and Aptitudes

They should have excellent communication skills (verbal and written), be a team player with a positive attitude and self-motivated. Lastly, their past experience will confirm their strength in customer service, interpersonal and organizational skills.
