Senior Analyst, Operations

We are currently looking for a Senior Analyst, Operations Support. In this role, the Senior Analyst will be responsible for administering treaties in our GRI system in compliance with legal agreements with our customers and suppliers, performing invoicing and providing support to other administration teams in various mandates. In addition, he/she will be responsible for the compliance and accuracy of data transferred to the financial statements for Optimum Reassurance's group and individual lines of business.
Main responsibilities
Administrative management of treaties
- Create/modify/validate tables of premium rates, decreases, commissions, etc., insurance plan codes and in-house system treaties.
Month-end/year-end management
- Balance payments and provisions for surrenders with accounting
- Transfer premiums & provide accounting with supporting files to balance financial statements
- Identify variances and explain them
- Make adjustments to provisions if necessary
- Prepare various reports for accounting and management
- Bill retrocessionaires
Checklist management
- Run the various reports/checklists on administrative data.
- Distribute the reports/checklists to be analyzed to the respective teams.
- Analyze the results of the reports/checklists.
- Draft a quarterly report to present the results to the operations teams.
Other responsibilities
Management and analysis of payments received and claims
- Carry out accounting entries
- Prepare and send monthly reinsurance invoices
- Support in the management of collections and administrative verification of claims
Redemption calculation management
- Calculate cash surrender values according to agreements
- Make payments/request payments
Management of various special jobs
- Calculate rebates in compliance with legal agreements
- Make payments/request payments
- Manage special treaties and meet deadlines
- Prepare rebate calculations and special treaty adjustments
- Prepare various reports for financial authorities
Customer service
- Provide support to internal and external customers
- Communicate with customers in the event of discrepancies and follow up as necessary
Education and Work Experience
- DEC in administration, or equivalent options
- Advanced mastery of Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, etc)
- Knowledge of Office tools
- Experience in accounting an asset
- Experience in insurance/reinsurance an asset

- Ease of communication (both in French and English - Society in Dallas and Ontario)
